The Nashville Predators bolstered their blueline on Friday night, adding defenseman Jayden Struble, 25, in a trade with the Montreal Canadiens, in exchange for a second-round draft pick in 2027.

The Nashville Predators have acquired 25-year-old defenseman Jayden Struble from the Montreal Canadiens in a permanent trade on Friday. In exchange for the blueliner, Montreal received a 2027 second-round draft pick originally owned by the Vegas Golden Knights. The move marks Nashville's second addition from Montreal's defense this week following the waiver claim of William Trudeau.
Drafted by Montreal in the second round in 2019, Struble recorded seven goals and 35 points in 174 appearances for the club. He frequently served as a healthy scratch over the past two seasons as the Canadiens managed blue-line depth featuring recovering defenseman Kaiden Guhle and prospect David Reinbacher.
