Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has confirmed that midfielder Frenkie de Jong could return for their upcoming La Liga match against Real Betis on Saturday, October 17. The Dutch midfielder has not played yet this season due to a knee injury but has returned to full training as he approaches his comeback.
Flick stated during a Friday press conference that De Jong's recovery is progressing pain-free, though the club will give him the necessary time to fully recover. His return provides Barcelona with added midfield depth ahead of a demanding schedule featuring matches against Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Galatasaray.
