The Story in 60 Seconds

A trade proposal published on PuckGM suggests the Boston Bruins acquire Detroit Red Wings center Dylan Larkin in exchange for forward Pavel Zacha, the signing rights to prospect William Moore, and a 2027 first-round draft pick. Larkin previously requested a trade from Detroit, leading the franchise to strip him of his captaincy ahead of the season, though he continues to play for the Red Wings.

Under the proposed trade, Boston would take on an additional $3.95 million against the salary cap by swapping Zacha's $4.75 million cap hit for Larkin's $8.7 million annual salary. A major hurdle remains Larkin's full no-trade clause, as reported preferred destinations like Florida, Minnesota, Vegas, Colorado, Washington, Dallas, and Tampa Bay do not currently include Boston.
