Former Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand will be out for six weeks with an injury sustained earlier this week.

Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand avoided a season-ending injury after hurting his knee against the Los Angeles Kings. Head coach Paul Maurice announced that Marchand will miss at least six weeks, but the 38-year-old could resume skating in three weeks.
The timeline rules Marchand out of Florida's visit to the Boston Bruins on November 8, though he may return for their December 15 matchup. The Panthers are also navigating an injury to Aleksander Barkov following their season-opening road trip.
