Former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson has criticized India head coach Gautam Gambhir for frequently altering the playing XI and batting order. Watson stated that constant changes have left the national team unsettled and caused inconsistency across formats, despite Gambhir guiding India to Champions Trophy and T20 World Cup titles.
While calling for greater lineup stability, Watson praised Gambhir for backing individual players, noting how wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson flourished with his support. Meanwhile, India suffered a six-wicket T20I defeat against West Indies in Ranchi after failing to defend a target of 250.
