The Story in 60 Seconds

Lazio have registered the lowest stadium occupancy rate in Europe this season due to an ongoing supporter protest against club president Claudio Lotito. Reports from Il Messaggero indicate that the Stadio Olimpico, which holds approximately 70,000 seats, has averaged just 11% occupancy during the club's home fixtures.

The boycott began in January after player sales and aims to deny matchday revenue to Lotito, whom fans accuse of prioritizing personal interests. Despite manager Gennaro Gattuso guiding the team through a positive start, supporters continue to boycott home games except for the upcoming derby against Roma.
