Although he played against the team he idolized growing up, defenseman William Trudeau’s game against the Montreal Canadiens ended on a sour note. The Nashville Predators announced they placed Trudeau on the injured reserve with an upper-body injury.
The Nashville Predators have placed defenseman William Trudeau on injured reserve due to an upper-body injury. Trudeau exited after the first period of the game against the Montreal Canadiens and is expected to miss the next few weeks. The rookie blueliner has appeared in three games this season without recording a point.
Trudeau was drafted by Montreal in 2021 before being traded to the New York Rangers and later claimed off waivers by Nashville. His absence temporarily resolves a roster surplus for the Predators, who previously carried eight defensemen and can now transition back to a standard setup of twelve forwards and six defensemen.
