Former San Francisco Giants players Patrick Bailey and Jordan Hicks played pivotal roles on opposing sides of Game 4 in the ALDS. Bailey hit a pinch-hit home run and scored two runs to help the Cleveland Guardians defeat the Chicago White Sox, tying the series at 2-2. Hicks surrendered a critical two-run home run to Jose Ramirez during the contest.
Keane notes that the Giants traded Bailey to Cleveland in May for pitcher Matt Wilkinson and a draft pick used on Carson Bolemon. Hicks previously joined Chicago after stops with San Francisco and Boston, with the Giants still covering a portion of his contract.
