Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso confirmed that midfielder Moises Caicedo is fit and ready to play against Bournemouth after missing most of the season so far. However, pundits and observers are debating whether Alonso should start Caicedo or introduce him as a substitute to manage his recovery.
On the London is Blue podcast, presenter Dan Dormer suggested bringing Caicedo off the bench for the final 25 to 30 minutes unless he can manage at least 60 minutes. Talk Chelsea writer Will Faulks agreed, arguing the club must prioritize protecting the midfielder and avoid taking unnecessary risks.
