Royal Challengers Bengaluru batting coach Dinesh Karthik stated that removing the Impact Player rule before the end of the IPL cycle does not make sense. Speaking to Cricbuzz, Karthik acknowledged the regulation has lost relevance and hindered the development of Indian all-rounders, but insisted it should remain in place through the 2027 season.
