Celtic supporter group the Green Brigade has announced plans to stage a special tifo honoring club legend Danny McGrain during the upcoming match against Motherwell. The tribute comes after Celtic recently confirmed that McGrain was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The fan group revealed the plans via a statement on social media, urging attending fans to arrive early at the stadium and participate in the display and chants.
Alongside the visual display, the Green Brigade confirmed that they will make a charitable donation to an Alzheimer's organization in McGrain's name following consultation with his family. McGrain, recognized as one of the club's finest right-backs, made over 650 appearances and claimed 14 trophies during his career with Celtic.
