Formula 1 stewards decided against penalizing Lando Norris following a final-lap collision with McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri during the Singapore Grand Prix Sprint. The incident occurred at Turn 5 when Norris attempted an inside overtake, resulting in contact that forced Piastri into the barrier to retire and left Norris to recover in eighth place.
After reviewing in-car footage and speaking to both drivers, officials determined that both drivers contributed to the crash through a shared misjudgment. The collision cost McLaren a potential nine points from a four-five finish, reducing their haul to a single point.
