Luka Modric has revealed that thorough preparation and analyzing upcoming opponents are the primary reasons behind his enduring longevity at 41 years old. Speaking on AC Milan's interview series, The Chamber, the midfielder explained that he systematically studies opponent strengths and weaknesses while visualizing in-game scenarios to gain an advantage on the pitch.
Modric emphasized that his prolonged career relies on detailed mental anticipation and hard work rather than magic formulas. Despite early doubts regarding his physical condition last season, Modric squashed concerns by registering 32 starts and 37 appearances, and he continues to remain a vital contributor for both Milan and his national team.
