Celta Vigo supporters expressed widespread disappointment on social media following the Green Brigade's decision to boycott Celtic's upcoming home matches. The Scottish ultras group announced on Friday that they will not attend home Europa League or Scottish Cup fixtures until further notice in protest of their treatment by the club. Travelling Spanish fans voiced frustration that Celtic Park would lack its renowned electric atmosphere during the clash.
While a few supporters noted that a quieter stadium might benefit Celta Vigo's chances of winning, the vast majority lamented missing out on the famous matchday experience. The fixture marks the first competitive meeting between the sides since 2002.
