As Jon Rahm exits LIV Golf, the PGA Tour’s big unanswered question takes center stage

Jon Rahm has departed LIV Golf after rejecting terms for "LIV Golf 2.0," intensifying scrutiny on whether the PGA Tour will establish a route for returning players. Rahm's exit coincides with the league's bankruptcy proceedings, which have also seen Sergio Garcia's contract terminated while Adrian Meronk and David Puig exited the circuit. Speaking from the Baycurrent Classic in Japan, Xander Schauffele noted that Tour players hold widely mixed opinions regarding potential returns.

PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp previously stated there are no active plans to revive the "Returning Members Program" utilized earlier by Brooks Koepka. Rolapp stressed that the tour is a merit-based membership organization prioritizing rules and discipline, warning that any future pathways back would lack easy terms.
