The Green Bay Packers will hold a moment of silence to honor former Chicago Bears head coach Mike Ditka prior to Sunday's game against the Bears at Lambeau Field. Ditka passed away on Friday at the age of 86, prompting the Packers organization to pay tribute to one of their fiercest historic rivals.
In an official statement, the Packers praised Ditka for defining the intensity and tradition of professional football's oldest rivalry. Ditka held a 15-5 record against Green Bay as head coach. Green Bay previously held a similar tribute in 1999 following the death of Bears legend Walter Payton.
