Trevor Connelly scored and recorded an assist, Mark Stone added two helpers, and Mitch Marner fired home the overtime winner as the Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Los Angeles Kings 2-1.
The Seattle Mariners are facing critical roster decisions following their Game 7 defeat to Toronto in the ALCS. After securing their first AL West title since 2001, team leadership must now resolve the status of several key contributors hitting free agency. Manager Dan Wilson and president of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto stressed their desire to build on the campaign's success.
First baseman Josh Naylor and third baseman Eugenio Suárez are pending free agents, with Dipoto identifying the retention of Naylor as a priority. Meanwhile, rookie Ben Williamson could take over at third base, and second baseman Jorge Polanco holds a $6 million player option. Despite the impending turnover, franchise cornerstones Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodríguez remain signed long term.
