Sacramento Kings center Maxime Raynaud sustained an apparently serious right knee injury in the second quarter of a preseason loss to the host Golden State Warriors on Saturday night in San Francisco.
Sacramento Kings center Maxime Raynaud sustained a right knee injury and left Saturday night's preseason game against the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco. Raynaud was injured while setting a screen for Darius Acuff Jr. against Stephen Curry in the second quarter. The center fell to the floor in pain, was examined by medical staff, and was taken to the locker room in a wheelchair before being ruled out.
Following Golden State's 111-106 victory, the Kings had no immediate postgame update on Raynaud's condition. The 23-year-old was seen leaving Chase Center on crutches and told reporters he was scheduled for an MRI. Prior to exiting, Raynaud recorded 10 points and five rebounds in nine minutes off the bench.
