The Story in 60 Seconds

Eight San Diego Padres prospects have joined the Peoria Javelinas for the 2026 Arizona Fall League season, which began on Oct. 3. The contingent features five pitchers—Winyer Chourio, Igor Gil, Francis Peña, Kannon Kemp, and Jordan Valenzuela—alongside position players Ty Harvey, Alex McCoy, and Justin DeCriscio. Padres minor league infield coordinator Danny Worth serves as the manager for the Javelinas, who split their first six games to sit in third place.

Outfielder Alex McCoy has highlighted the early action, hitting a home run and stealing four bases in five games after reaching Double-A San Antonio earlier this year. Catcher Ty Harvey and several pitchers are utilizing the six-week schedule to recover lost development time caused by injuries during the regular minor league season.
