The Mammoth got their swagger back. After a humiliating game against the Boston Bruins on Thursday, a bounce-back game was needed. The team needed to find themselves again.
The Utah Mammoth bounced back from a heavy loss to the Boston Bruins by defeating the Buffalo Sabres 4-1 on Saturday night. Kailer Yamamoto made an immediate impact in his season debut by scoring the game-tying goal and factoring into two other tallies. Nick Schmaltz, Anders Lee, and John Marino also found the net as the Mammoth concluded their five-game East Coast road trip with a victory.
The win improved the Mammoth's record to 4-2-0 on the season under head coach André Tourigny. Marino recorded two points on the night, including a power-play goal as the team went 2-for-5 on the man advantage. Following the successful road trip, the Mammoth return to Salt Lake City to host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.
