Boston Bruins forward JJ Peterka achieved his 200th career NHL point during a 5-1 home victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday. Peterka recorded a pair of assists in the blowout win at TD Garden. With the accomplishment, he became the ninth German-born player in NHL history to reach the 200-point career threshold.
The Bruins acquired Peterka from the Utah Mammoth over the summer in exchange for two first-round draft picks. Originally a second-round pick by the Buffalo Sabres in 2020, Peterka spent time with Buffalo and Utah before joining Boston, where the team improved to a 4-2 record following the milestone win.
