Sophomore Joe Huber is now the starter at left guard. At least publicly, people around the Minnesota Vikings are quick…

Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Joe Huber is receiving widespread praise from coaches and peers after stepping into the starting left guard position. Vikings offensive coordinator Wes Phillips described the sophomore as a "quiet killer" and a "caged animal," praising his toughness and physicality. Head coach Kevin O'Connell and veteran edge rusher Kyle Van Noy also commended Huber's work ethic and preparation following an injury to starter Donovan Jackson.
Huber, an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin, is expected to start for Minnesota against New Orleans in Week 5. Writer K. Joudry argues that while Huber may initially be a downgrade at guard, his strong work ethic offers the struggling Vikings offense an opportunity to steady its front line as other options like Michael Jurgens return.
