Ex-Man City player Adam Johnson gets engaged to girlfriend who left him before prison stint

Former Manchester City and Sunderland winger Adam Johnson has reportedly become engaged to his partner Stacey Flounders, seven years after his release from prison. Flounders had originally separated from Johnson following his 2016 conviction for grooming and engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl. According to reports, the couple is actively planning their wedding.

The pair originally separated around the time of Johnson's trial, during which he served three years of a six-year sentence. They reportedly rekindled their relationship in 2020 and share two children. Johnson has remained unemployed since his football career ended, though reports indicate he accumulated enough wealth during his playing career to maintain financial security.
