The 52,000-seater stadium holds a photo of the reigning monarch in the home changing room

Scottish Premiership club Rangers maintains a 40-year tradition of displaying a portrait of the ruling British monarch in their home dressing room at Ibrox. Following the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, a photograph of King Charles III currently hangs in the dressing room. Former player-manager Graeme Souness initially established the tradition in 1986 after taking over the Glasgow club from Jock Wallace.
The ritual reflects Rangers' deep historical links to loyalism and unionism. Alongside displaying the monarch's portrait, the club flies the Union Jack at the Bill Struth Main Stand, sings the national anthem, and holds the annual Loving Cup ceremony dating back to 1937 to toast the monarch's health.
