A few players from the AL East terrorized Baltimore this past season that are headed into free agency, and Orioles' fans couldn't be happier to see them go.
Brian Burrows of Birds Watcher highlights four division rivals who regularly challenged the Baltimore Orioles but are entering free agency this offseason. The list features New York Yankees players Trent Grisham, David Bednar, and Ryan Yarbrough, along with Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer. Burrows argues the Orioles should welcome their potential departures from the AL East.
According to the article, Grisham posted an OPS above 1.000 against Baltimore in 2026, while Springer batted .304 in 50 plate appearances. On the mound, Bednar pitched five scoreless outings against the Orioles, and Yarbrough surrendered just one earned run over 8 1/3 innings in their matchups.
