Celtic fans thank Rangers for ‘keeping our seat warm’ as Hotline sees Jota return put icing on the cake

Celtic supporters used the Daily Record's Sports Hotline to mock rivals Rangers following Celtic's 2-0 victory against Motherwell. The win quickly restored Celtic to the top of the Scottish Premiership table after Rangers had briefly claimed first place for 24 hours with a victory over Kilmarnock. Callers celebrated the return of winger Jota and praised an impressive midfield performance from Mika Baur.

Fans expressed mixed feelings about striker Kasper Hogh, with some defending his European form ahead of a match against Benfica while others criticized his domestic performances. Supporters also scrutinized Rangers' display against Kilmarnock, downplaying their rivals' title credentials, while also addressing St Mirren's recent dip in form following a heavy defeat to Hearts.
