Pierre Sage reaction after first Crystal Palace win over Nottingham

Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage expressed satisfaction after his side earned a hard-fought 3-1 Premier League victory over Nottingham Forest. The win ended a 12-match winless league streak against Forest and spoiled former Palace manager Oliver Glasner's return to Selhurst Park. Sage admitted that his team struggled against a well-prepared opponent but emphasized that securing the three points was the most crucial outcome.

Sage identified a pivotal save by Palace goalkeeper Benitez to prevent Forest from taking a 2-0 lead as the match's defining moment. Praising his squad's heart and solidarity, Sage indicated plans for squad rotation across a grueling season as the Eagles immediately turn their focus toward an upcoming Europa League encounter against Lyon.
