A brilliant bowling display by India on a flat pitch with shorter boundaries at the Holkar Stadium guided them to a 14-run win over the West Indies and gave them a 2-1 lead in the series on Sunday.
India defeated the West Indies by 14 runs at the Holkar Stadium in Indore to secure a 2-1 lead in the T20I series. Batting first, India posted 223 all out, driven by Abhishek Sharma's 69 off 30 deliveries and a rapid 108-run stand with Ishan Kishan. In response, the visitors were restricted to 209/7 in their 20 overs.
Arshdeep Singh led the Indian bowling attack with 3/44, which included the early wicket of West Indies captain Shai Hope. Despite aggressive knocks from Shimron Hetmyer and Kamil Pooran, disciplined middle-overs bowling from Naman Dhir and Nitish Kumar Reddy prevented the West Indies from reaching the 224-run target.
