Las Vegas Raiders safety Treydan Stukes has not been fined by the league after his tackle caused a serious injury to Kansas City Chiefs star Tyquan Thornton.

The NFL has decided against issuing a fine to Las Vegas Raiders safety Treydan Stukes for his tackle on Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyquan Thornton. Stukes tackled Thornton from behind near the five-yard line during their recent Sunday Night Football matchup, resulting in Thornton suffering a severe fracture-dislocation of his left ankle. League officials reviewed the incident and determined the play did not violate the league's banned hip-drop tackle rule.
Thornton underwent surgery and is expected to miss 12 to 16 weeks of action. Despite widespread belief from observers and fans that the tackle met the league's criteria for a penalty, Stukes avoided financial discipline. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce voiced strong support for his injured teammate following the diagnosis.
