Keith Hackett praises match officials for correctly issuing a red card to Tottenham’s Rodrigo Bentancur against Manchester United.

Former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett backed referee Stuart Attwell and VAR Jarred Gillett for sending off Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur against Manchester United. Bentancur received a straight red card just twelve minutes after coming on as a substitute for Lucas Bergvall, following a confrontation where he used his forehead against Luke Shaw.
Hackett affirmed that Attwell took proper time to assess the incident and correctly penalized Shaw with a yellow card as well. Bentancur will now serve a three-match domestic ban, missing matches against Coventry City, Chelsea, and Crystal Palace, putting his standing in Roberto De Zerbi's side at risk.
