The Story in 60 Seconds

Schalke head coach Miron Muslic took full responsibility after his side suffered a 2-1 defeat against SC Freiburg on Sunday. Despite Freiburg midfielder Yuito Suzuki receiving a red card in the 64th minute, Schalke failed to capitalize on the advantage. Instead, Keisuke Goto scored an 85th-minute winner for the ten-man hosts, leaving Muslic to admit his tactical adjustments were a mistake.

Muslic altered Schalke's formation from a back three to a 4-2-3-1 and introduced attacking substitutes, including Edin Džeko, Hee-chan Hwang, and Adil Aouchiche. However, the changes disrupted the team's structure and allowed Vincenzo Grifo to set up Goto's decisive header. Freiburg manager Julian Schuster praised Muslic's post-match honesty.
