The dream 2026 World Series matchup for Minnesota Twins fans

Writer Jackson Kruse argues that the dream 2026 World Series matchup for Minnesota Twins fans is the Milwaukee Brewers facing the Tampa Bay Rays. With four clubs remaining in the Championship Series, Kruse notes that Twins fans would prefer to see the small-market Brewers prevail over the Los Angeles Dodgers, while rooting against their American League Central rivals, the Cleveland Guardians, in favor of the Rays.

The article highlights that both preferred teams roster former Twins players, including Gary Sánchez and Trevor Megill in Milwaukee, along with Griffin Jax in Tampa Bay. The NLCS begins Sunday with Tarik Skubal starting for Los Angeles against Milwaukee's Jacob Misiorowski, while the ALCS begins Monday with Drew Rasmussen pitching for the Rays.
