Atlanta Braves President of Baseball Operations Alex Anthopoulos addressed key roster and staff questions ahead of the 2027 season. He announced that 21-year-old pitcher Didier Fuentes will be given a chance to join the starting rotation, potentially with innings limits. Meanwhile, the club cannot rely on full seasons from injured pitchers Spencer Strider and Spencer Schwellenbach.
Anthopoulos noted that coaching staff decisions remain pending and outfield Jurickson Profar's future is undecided entering his final contract year. The Braves also plan to utilize exclusive negotiating windows with pending free agents Tyler Mahle and Mauricio Dubon.
