The New York Giants and Washington Commanders had chances to avoid Sunday's 27-27 tie by kicking routine field goals in overtime. Instead they upset Mike Tomlin.

NBC analyst Mike Tomlin sharply criticized the chaotic conclusion of the Washington Commanders and New York Giants' 27-27 overtime tie on Sunday, calling the end of the game "disgusting." Both teams squandered late opportunities to secure a division victory through routine field-goal scenarios in overtime, prompting Tomlin to remark that he threw up in his mouth while watching the sequence unfold.
The Giants missed a chance to kick when running back Cam Skattebo fumbled on Washington's 24-yard line. The Commanders subsequently failed to manage the game clock, as quarterback Jayden Daniels scrambled and the offense failed to line up in time to spike the ball before the final whistle.
