The exodus of pros from LIV Golf continued on Thursday, when young phenom David Puig announced he would not play on LIV 2.0 in 2027.

Spanish golfer David Puig has announced he will leave LIV Golf and will not play for the proposed LIV 2.0 in 2027. Speaking Thursday at the Open de Espana, the 24-year-old revealed his intention to play a fuller schedule on the DP World Tour next season instead of signing on with LIV.
Puig's departure follows a series of exits from the league amid its bankruptcy proceedings, including fellow Spaniards Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia, as well as Adrian Meronk. LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil had hoped to launch LIV 2.0 in 2027, but the venture faces growing uncertainty following the wave of player departures.
