Tottenham Hotspur are competing with Hull City to sign Besiktas striker Oh Hyeon-gyu during the January transfer window, according to Takvim. The 25-year-old South Korean international was previously signed by the Turkish club for £12m from Genk and was reportedly recommended to Spurs by club legend Heung-min Son. Both English clubs have reportedly held talks with the Besiktas board to explore a mid-season move.
Besiktas manager Vincenzo Italiano is reportedly opposed to selling Oh mid-season and wants the club to reject all approaches. The forward has seen reduced playing time behind Dusan Vlahovic this season, recording one goal and two assists across 13 appearances.
