Philadelphia Eagles running back Will Shipley suffered a partial tear of his plantar fascia and could miss multiple games, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter. Shipley sustained the injury early during the Eagles' Week 5 defeat against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had started the game due to existing injuries across Philadelphia's backfield.
The Eagles were already playing without Saquon Barkley due to a hamstring injury, while Tank Bigsby remains on injured reserve. With Shipley sidelined, the Eagles are left with Dameon Pierce and Carson Steele as their only healthy running backs on the active roster, with practice squad back Jaydon Blue serving as a potential option.
