Former Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has opened up about the emotional toll and brutality of his July 2025 sacking after two decades at the helm. Speaking in an interview, Horner reflected on his abrupt dismissal, personal grief, and the struggle to process losing his professional identity following 20 years building Red Bull into a championship-winning organization.
Horner revealed he suffered from panic attacks and acknowledged he may never return to Formula 1 unless an opportunity includes an ownership stake. While expressing pride in the team's newly successful in-house Powertrains engine project initiated during his tenure, Horner emphasized that the circumstances surrounding his exit felt uniquely harsh compared to standard departures in the sport.
