Wild Player To Watch: Quinn Hughes Looks To Extend Point Streak Against Golden Knights

Minnesota Wild defenseman Quinn Hughes enters Monday night's game against the Vegas Golden Knights seeking to extend his five-game point streak. Hughes has registered seven points, including two goals and five assists, across Minnesota's opening five contests of the 2026-27 season. His five-game run is tied with Wild teammate Jared Spurgeon for the longest active streak among NHL defensemen.

With fellow defenseman Brock Faber sidelined by injury, Hughes has taken on an expanded workload, averaging heavy minutes including 32:36 against Tampa Bay. Hughes currently stands at 492 career NHL points in 512 games, placing him just eight points away from becoming the second-fastest American-born defenseman in NHL history to reach the 500-point plateau.
