Patrick Mahomes still has a part of his game that he hasn't had to tap into yet, but J.J. Watt thinks it's coming.

Former NFL star J.J. Watt stated on "The Pat McAfee Show" that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will continue to improve following a strong start to the 2026 season. Watt noted that Mahomes has performed at an elite level despite not yet needing to fully rely on his mobility while returning from a 2025 knee injury.
Arrowhead Addict highlights that Mahomes currently ranks 11th in pass attempts outside the pocket, a decrease from previous years. Despite utilizing his rushing ability less frequently alongside running back Kenneth Walker III, Mahomes ranks tenth in the league in both EPA per play and passing success rate.
