The Denver Nuggets have waived veteran guard Lonnie Walker IV, according to the official NBA.com transaction log. Walker had joined Denver on a non-guaranteed Exhibit 9 training camp contract in early September, which ensures the team carries no dead money following his release. The 27-year-old guard saw limited action during the preseason, averaging 2.0 points across 8.6 minutes per game in two appearances.
Walker could potentially head overseas after recently signing with agent Misko Raznatovic and international agency BeoBasket. Originally the 18th overall pick in the 2018 draft by the San Antonio Spurs, Walker has spent time with the Lakers, Nets, and 76ers, alongside European stints with Zalgiris Kaunas and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
