Frenkie de Jong is back in training for Barcelona after recovering from a knee injury sustained during the World Cup, and the Dutchman could find himself in a new position once he returns to the pitch. According to reports from…

Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsí shared his thoughts during a press conference on teammate Frenkie de Jong potentially playing at center-back. Catalan media reports indicate manager Hansi Flick has tested De Jong in central defense following the Dutch midfielder's return to training from a knee injury suffered at the World Cup. Cubarsí praised De Jong's overall talent but emphasized that the Dutchman is one of the best in the world in his natural position.

De Jong's versatility offers Flick selection alternatives without displacing midfielders such as Pedri or Rodri, though training experiments may not necessarily translate to match action.
