Cindy Hook, the chief executive officer of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games organising committee, will step down at the end of her four-year contract later this year. Organisers announced the decision on Tuesday, closely following the recent unveiling of the official Games emblems. Hook stated that the foundations for success are well laid and that it is the right time for new leadership.
Organisers confirmed that the search for Hook's successor will begin immediately to ensure a seamless transition from early planning into operational delivery. Brisbane 2032 president Andrew Liveris and Australian Olympic Committee president Ian Chesterman commended Hook for developing the organisation from the ground up, establishing solid governance, and laying robust groundwork for the 2032 Games.
