The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the New York Knicks 122-104 in a preseason matchup at Madison Square Garden. Minnesota dominated with strong three-point shooting, building a 62-50 halftime lead behind Anthony Edwards, who led his squad with 20 points by intermission. Jalen Brunson scored 20 points in 22 minutes for the Knicks, but New York struggled defensively and fell to 0-3 in exhibition play.
The contest marked LaMelo Ball's first appearance in Timberwolves blue, finishing with 10 points and seven assists. OG Anunoby added 15 points for New York, while reserve contributions from Tony Bradley and Jose Alvarado were not enough to overcome Minnesota's perimeter offense and depth down the stretch.
