Motherwell manager Alfred Johansson revealed Willy Vogt’s hard work and training performances earned him his place against Celtic.
Motherwell manager Alfred Johansson stated that Willy Vogt started against Celtic due to his strong training performances over recent weeks. Vogt made his first start in two months during Motherwell's 2-0 defeat to Celtic, but was booed by a section of supporters upon being substituted for Ibrahim Said shortly after Celtic took a two-goal lead.
Johansson acknowledged that Motherwell struggled on the right side across various defensive phases and pledged to examine the issue. The defeat marked Motherwell's fourth consecutive loss, with Johansson also noting that the squad needs more composure in their final passes after scoring just once in four matches.
