Source: Steelers Set to Bring Back Fan-Favorite Linebacker

The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing veteran inside linebacker Elandon Roberts to Pittsburgh on Monday with the intention of re-signing him, sources told Steelers Now. The 32-year-old previously spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons with the franchise and had joined the team late in training camp earlier this year, recording 10 tackles across two preseason games before departing.

Roberts played the 2025 season with the Las Vegas Raiders, where he started 16 games and recorded 90 tackles. A two-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, Roberts will rejoin Patrick Queen and Payton Wilson in Pittsburgh once the Steelers clear an open spot on their active roster to complete the signing.
