Spurs had been linked with several new No. 1s before Roberto De Zerbi backed Antonín Kinsky.

Hotspur HQ's James Cormack argues Tottenham Hotspur avoided a mistake by not signing German goalkeeper Noah Atubolu during the summer transfer window. Tottenham had reportedly scouted Atubolu while searching for a potential replacement for Guglielmo Vicario, but manager Roberto De Zerbi instead placed his faith in Antonín Kinsky as the club's starting goalkeeper.
Atubolu subsequently joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan, where Cormack highlights that he has struggled during a difficult start to the Bundesliga season, conceding 16 goals in early matches. Meanwhile, Cormack notes that Kinsky has provided composure and strong distribution in possession for Tottenham despite the team's challenging start to the Premier League campaign.
