Things could start “looking” up soon for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Toronto Blue Jays after the superstar first baseman undergoes a successful surgery.

Toronto Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. reportedly underwent laser eye surgery at the Laser Eye Center of Miami, according to Sportsnet. Jays Journal suggests that vision problems may explain his severe drop-off in production during the 2026 season.
Guerrero struggled throughout 2026, recording a .688 OPS with nine home runs and 57 RBIs in 144 games. His hard-hit percentage dropped to 44.3% and his barrel rate fell to 6.9%, marking his lowest metrics since his rookie year in 2019.
