During Monday's 7-4 Game 2 NLCS loss in Milwaukee, Ohtani continued a rough postseason, going 0-for-4 at the plate with two strikeouts.
Yardbarker's Eric Smithling argues that the Los Angeles Dodgers should bench designated hitter Shohei Ohtani for Game 3 of the NLCS against the Milwaukee Brewers. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced he will hold discussions with Ohtani during Tuesday's practice regarding his status after the team fell into an 0-2 series deficit following a 7-4 loss in Game 2.
Ohtani is hitting .150 in the postseason while battling ongoing right biceps and left knee injuries. Smithling notes that rookie Josue De Paula would reportedly be the likely replacement in the lineup if Roberts opts to sit the struggling superstar.
