The BVB let slip a 2-0 lead in the last four minutes of the match to draw with Bremen in their first Bundesliga game post the international break.

Borussia Dortmund fans strongly criticized the team and manager Niko Kovac on social media after blowing a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against Werder Bremen. Dortmund looked set for a fifth consecutive Bundesliga victory after late goals from Daniel Svensson and Nico Schlotterbeck, but conceded twice in the closing minutes.
Werder Bremen responded through an 88th-minute strike by Ludovit Reis before former Dortmund forward Niclas Fullkrug headed home a 92nd-minute equalizer. The late collapse prompted severe backlash from supporters online, who lamented recurring defensive issues and questioned the club's title credentials.
